Learn how to swim in a few steps
Step I: Put on the right swimming gears
Start off by acquiring the right swimming gears. These include the goggles and the swimming costumes. They are necessary to prevent any accidents and to also facilitate the process of swimming.
Step II: Get to the Shallow End
As a beginner, never attempt to swim on the deep end. Chances are you might sink and lose your life in the process. On the same note, you should also operate under the supervision of an expert who acts as a guide.
Step III: Learn to Float
The first major attempt to learn to swim is to learn to float. This is because all the subsequent maneuvers are predicated upon this skill. You may use some floatation devices to aid you in this one.
Step IV: Attempt to Move on the Pool
After you have learned how to float, now go ahead to try to move out and about the pool. Flap your feet to propel yourself forwards. Rest from time to time to avoid getting too weary and possibly sinking.
Step V: Practice Repeatedly
Lastly, practice repeatedly. Practice undoubtedly makes perfect. It is only by doing the same maneuvers over and over again that you eventually become a pro in it.
